• Price. Its Basic package costs a third of ours, and even Premium is $10 less.
• Variety. Standard and Premium give five or eight variations to choose between.
• Longer speeches. Premium produces about 1,200 words. A 3 to 5 minute speech is 400 to 600 words by its own guidance, so that suits a long father of the bride or best man speech.
• Extras. PDF and other downloads, delivery tips and a practice timer in Premium.
• More speech types. It lists more than 58 generators by role.

Where it may cost you

• No refund after delivery. Its FAQ and terms agree on this. If the speech does not suit you, you cannot get your money back, though a technical failure reported within 7 days gets a fix or refund.
• No revisions. Its FAQ says the speech is text you can copy and modify yourself. More changes mean writing them yourself, or buying again.

What to check before you pay for either

• What a variation is. Several variations of the same details are not several speeches with different stories. Read each version and keep only what is true.
• Length. Say how long the speech must be. WedSpeech.ai fixes length by package; ours takes a spoken duration, and its shortest option is 3 to 5 minutes, so a two-minute toast needs trimming.
• Refunds. Read the terms, not the badge. Ours: email within 7 days of purchase for a full refund.
• Your stories. Neither tool can supply them. The weaker the details you give it, the more generic the speech will be.

Who should pick which

• Pick WedSpeech.ai if budget is tight, you want several versions to choose from, and you are comfortable that purchases are final.
• Pick theweddingspeech.ai if you want to be able to ask for your money back, want to regenerate until it fits, or are giving a UK groom or parent speech.
